GW Biochemistry Department Gears Up for 2025 Bioinformatics Symposium on April 29

The GWU Biochemistry Department is set to host the 2025 Bioinformatics Symposium on April 29 at the Science and Engineering Hall on its Washington, D.C. campus. Organized by the HIVE Lab (Mazumder Research Group) in collaboration with Dr. Anelia Horvath (Horvath Lab), the symposium brings together leading researchers and students to explore innovations in bioinformatics.

The symposium will showcase presentations from GW laboratories engaged in bioinformatics and related research areas, alongside poster sessions, roundtable discussions, and informative sessions on available resources, funding opportunities, and career development in the field. Covering a wide range of topics—including bioinformatics, computational techniques, IT and data security, and educational initiatives—the event will highlight the diverse bioinformatics efforts across GW’s schools and research centers.

Get ready to engage with leading experts and mark your calendars for an exciting day of bioinformatics at GW on April 29.
