GW Workshops/Support
- Consider the GW Library-sponsored Python, R, JavaScript, Tableau, and OpenRefine Workshops. This is critical for all bioinformatics students (particularly those learning Python, R, and JavaScript). Add your name here once you have completed a workshop or have completed a similar workshop so that we can evaluate student skills and match them with internships and jobs.
- Free one-on-one coding consultations are available to anyone at GW who wants to meet with someone to discuss a specific coding topic or problem, including JavaScript. You can schedule an appointment here
- Students interested in learning how to code are also encouraged to join the GW Coders group this fall. The site has recordings of events from the previous year.
- CFDE Bioinformatics workshops offer training in a variety of bioinformatics tools and analyses, as well as basic Unix and Linux commands. Students are encouraged to participate in the following workshops throughout the year.
