Master's Student Thesis Symposium

As part of the Thesis Track in the Master’s Program in Bioinformatics, students are required to present and defend their research thesis prior to graduation. This academic milestone offers a platform to demonstrate their research skills, scientific insight, and communication abilities to faculty and peers.

The 2025 Thesis Defense Symposium was held on May 15th at Ross Hall, attended by students and faculty members from across the department. Each presentation was evaluated by a panel of faculty judges based on the quality of research, clarity of presentation, and overall impact.

We are pleased to announce that Christie Woodside was awarded the Best Thesis Presentation Prize for her exceptional work and compelling delivery. Her achievement reflects the dedication, depth, and excellence that the program cultivates in its students.

Congratulations to Christie and to all the graduating students for their remarkable efforts and accomplishments.
