The Horvath Lab is excited to welcome PhD student Midrar Alhossiny!

Midrar is pursuing her doctorate in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Her dissertation research in our lab will focus on developing AI models of treatment response, informed by expressed genetic variants captured through long-read scRNA-seq data.
She joins us with valuable experience as a Genomic Laboratory Specialist I at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Saudi Arabia and holds a B.Sc. in Clinical Laboratory Science from King Saud University and an M.S. in Bioinformatics from Georgetown University.
We are excited to welcome Midrar to our friendly and collaborative team and look forward to the new perspectives and energy she will bring to our research.
